Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our Clinical Technology Team.

The successful candidate will provide expert technical leadership to support the development and implementation of clinical systems that interface with medical devices across NSW Health.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in uplift and transformation projects driven by the Single Digital Patient Record program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of clinical systems interfacing with medical devices
  • Contribute to enhancements (new or replacement systems) ensuring compliance with NSW Health and Australian Standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical requirements and market-ready documentation
  • Support system implementation, testing and assurance activities across functional and non-functional requirements
  • Advise on feasibility, risks and suitability of technical solutions to ensure optimal performance and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Strong technical leadership experience in clinical technology, biomedical engineering or digital health
  • Able to work collaboratively across multiple agencies and lead stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policies, Australian Standards (including biomedical and cyber security), and technology implementation processes
  • Strong skills in system design, requirements gathering and documentation for health-related technology solutions
  • Qualifications in biomedical engineering, health informatics, or a related field
