Job Title

The role of a Clinical Nurse Consultant is available in the haematology transplant and cellular therapies team at a metropolitan tertiary referral hospital.

We are seeking an experienced haematology nurse with a proven track record in the transplant and/or cellular therapies space, who has demonstrated expertise in long-term follow-up.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical knowledge and leadership skills to provide expert advice and advanced care coordination to patients and their carers as part of the multidisciplinary team for cellular therapy.

  • The successful candidate will develop, implement, and evaluate care management plans for patients with complex health needs.
  • They will also provide leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice.
  • Furthermore, they will initiate and utilise findings from research in the provision of clinical services.
  • Additionally, they will contribute to the development and delivery of specialty-related education programs.
  • Finally, they will participate in formal processes for strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • A current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in the specialty field.
  • Ability to work a Monday to Friday roster.
  • Experience in haematology.
  • Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
