Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mental Health Clinician.

The successful candidate will work within the Suicide Prevention Team, delivering support that aligns with the principles of step up/step down care.

This includes making referrals/links to community-based services for ongoing support (step down), or escalating concerns over consumer wellbeing to relevant clinical services for follow-up (step up).

Team members will be rostered to both SPOT or Safe Haven services dependent on availability and service need.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Delivering health promotion activities;
  • Providing after-hours care and follow-up to individuals experiencing or recovering from suicidal distress;
  • Collaborating with consumers and peer workers to respond to suicidal crisis using a 'buddy' approach.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.

Training and development opportunities will be available to support the clinician in achieving their career goals.

Site negotiation is possible between Wagga Wagga and Griffith.
