About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Australia. As a key member of our Air Battle Management Systems team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Your primary focus will be on resolving system and sub-system level requirements through decomposition and design, representing these in the Model-Based Engineering (MBE) environment. You will also be responsible for developing key interface definitions and resolving design and solution trade-offs against system requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have significant knowledge in one or more of the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (C4ISREW) domains. You will also need to have excellent understanding of Model-Based Systems Development (MBSD) and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) principles, as well as extensive experience with development of systems design for large complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve system and sub-system level requirements through decomposition and design
  • Develop key interface definitions
  • Resolve design and solution trade-offs against system requirements
  • Develop key AIR6500 technical documents and artefacts

Requirements:

  • Significant knowledge in one or more of the C4ISREW domains
  • Excellent understanding of MBSD and MBE principles
  • Extensive experience with development of systems design for large complex systems
  • Advanced experience trading off designs and solutions
