Expert Payroll Transformation Specialist

The Workday Payroll Transformation Specialist is responsible for bridging the gap between business and technical teams, providing complex Workday intersystem solutions.

This role requires guiding clients through transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday payroll solution.

  • Become an expert in Workday Payroll products with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Partner with clients to understand pain points, prioritise requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes by leveraging Workday's Payroll functionality.
  • Architect Workday Payroll solutions to ensure cohesion among work streams and consider cross-functional impacts.
  • Utilise expertise to recommend the best solution based on client requirements and timeframe, adapting scope as additional needs arise.
  • Facilitate design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and understanding of unique business requirements throughout project stages.
  • Regularly engage and support clients through all project phases, ensuring smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday Payroll.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, keeping clients and project teams informed of changes or progress.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to configure and test integrations between Workday solutions and selected payroll and benefits providers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years ERP or SaaS Payroll implementation and configuration experience.
  • Workday Payroll implementation experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements, design, prototype, test, and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial Management.
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, effectively managing customer expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
  • Minimal travel required but must be willing to travel on-site if needed.
