About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled APS5 officer to join our team in the Immigration Group at the Department of Home Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage or lead a team of officers in the Immigration Group
  • Assess and make decisions on immigration applications
  • Research and apply legislation related to immigration
  • Manage programs or contracts related to immigration
  • Perform other enabling and supporting functions as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have the ability to positively contribute in a team environment.

You will also need to have good judgement and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage teams in a high-tempo environment with competing priorities and changing timeframes.
