About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced APS6 officer to join our team in the Immigration and Legal Groups. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing or leading a team, assessment and decision making, writing policy or providing policy advice, managing programs or contracts, and other enabling and supporting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage or lead a team to achieve business outcomes
  • Assess and make decisions on complex issues
  • Write policy or provide policy advice to support business outcomes
  • Manage programs or contracts to achieve business outcomes
  • Perform other enabling and supporting functions as required
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship
  • APS6 classification
  • Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations
  • Good judgement and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage teams in a high-tempo environment
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
