Operational Security and Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Security and Risk Officer to join our team at the Department of Home Affairs. As a key member of our Security Branch, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our operations.
About Our TeamThe Security Branch is responsible for defining and achieving the security requirements for the Department, protecting our people, information, and assets. Our team is dedicated to providing strong leadership in protective security and taking a risk-based approach to enable the Department's business.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to physical security design and planning on infrastructure and property-related projects
- Contribute to the planning and undertaking of security risk assessments
- Assist in preparing various documentation, including fit-out briefs, zone certification reports, and security risk assessments
- Maintain various registers, including zone certification, projects, construction, and room data sheets, and security hardware and product brochures
- Supervise APS5 positions, as required
- Certificate IV in Government Security or Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
