Leadership Role in Research Grant Operations

This is a key strategic leadership position that oversees the research grants operations at a leading medical research institute. The successful candidate will lead the development and management of grant processes, including pre-award and post-award functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the research grants operations, ensuring alignment with the institute's goals and scientific capability frameworks.
  • Provide high-level input into organisational strategy, including the development and review of strategic initiatives, mentoring and incentive schemes, and collaborative agreements.
  • Identify and prioritise research funding opportunities, including government, industry, and philanthropic sources, and support the development of successful partnership proposals.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in peer-reviewed grants and research governance, preferably within a medical research environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and leading a strategic research function encapsulating all aspects of the granting life cycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of funding organisations, including national and international grant schemes.
