Job Description

This senior role involves trading key commodities and driving volume through our supply chain. It requires developing strategies that maximise supply chain efficiencies and identifying profitable opportunities to help our business grow.

  1. Collate and interpret Supply and Demand Analysis data
  2. Develop and implement trading strategies to meet the ambitions of our business
  3. Work with accumulation teams to ensure supply chain, accumulation and trading strategies are met

Foster relationships with key stakeholders, customers and market participants to grow our business and execute our strategy. Negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sales contracts and bulk ocean freight contracts, then work through execution with logistics teams.

We seek an experienced commodities specialist with 5+ years of trading experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a working understanding of both the Australian grains industry and international trade flows, as well as a demonstrated ability to turn analysis into strategy and strategy into action.

A strong attention to detail on contract administration and management is essential. A working understanding of Bulk Ocean Freight will be advantageous.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work autonomously and lead when required. We also value entrepreneurial flair and a keen eye for opportunity.
