About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Australian Red Cross team as a Support Officer - Aged Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) program in the community, providing a social connection service for older Australians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and support volunteers to deliver the ACVVS program
  • Network with Aged Care Facility Co-ordinators, home care providers, and volunteer agencies to promote and expand the service
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteers, clients, and their matches
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced online environment
  • Ability to support and coach volunteers and connect with the local community
  • Demonstrated client-centred approach to work and interactions
  • Ability to work in a virtual team and support other team members
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box to resolve volunteer and client concerns
