Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Professional to join our team at the Booking Office, Southern Cross Station.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of service while maintaining safety on and around the rail.

This is a full-time, permanent role with rotating shifts from 5:35 am to 9:45 pm, seven days a week.

About the Role
  • Customer Service: Provide accurate and timely information to customers, including coach replacements where required.
  • Ticket Sales: Complete Myki and V/Net ticket sales and seat reservations.
  • Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations and customer service in the Booking Office.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively within the team and wider functions.
  • Safety: Ensure safety on and around the station, for customers, colleagues, and yourself.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a focus on safety culture.

Key Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in face-to-face customer service and an operational environment.
  • Qualifications: Successful completion of Year 10 (minimum).
  • Licence: Victorian Driver Licence.
  • Availability: Willingness & ability to travel to other stations, to provide service along the line.
  • Shift Work: Availability for shift work & overtime.
