Job Description

As a Heavy Diesel Equipment Technician with KCA Site Services, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and break-down repairs on heavy diesel equipment and machinery. You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimise downtime, conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and greasing of moving parts;
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic techniques;
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns;
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • A trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Fitting or Mobile Plant Technology;
  • Extensive experience with heavy diesel equipment, including but not limited to: Sandvik, Volvo, CAT, Atlas and Epiroc;
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Valid Passport or Birth Certificate;
  • Valid NPC within 12 months or willing to obtain;
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug screening.
