We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Clean Energy and Transmission team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management Expertise: You will have extensive experience in managing complex projects across the electricity sector, from pursuits and bids through to execution and delivery.
- Business Development: You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and developing strategic plans to drive growth.
- Team Leadership: You will lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Industry Expertise: You will have a deep understanding of the electricity value chain, including generation, transmission, and supply, as well as regulatory and permitting requirements.
- Client Relationships: You will establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Business Growth: You will be responsible for driving business growth through new and existing clients, including cross-selling opportunities and leading pursuits and tenders.
- Industry Representation: You will represent our organization at industry events, building relationships and promoting our brand.
- Travel: You will be required to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand to support the growth of our Transmission sector value offering.
Requirements
- 20+ Years of Experience: You will have at least 20 years of relevant industry experience, predominantly in the Energy and Transmission sector.
- Qualifications: You will hold a recognized degree qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a similar field.
- Electrical Technical Background: While not mandatory, an electrical technical background will be considered advantageous in delivering the role.
- Transmission Sector Experience: You will have experience working in the transmission sector, with a proven track record in successfully delivering major projects and programs.
- Industry Knowledge: You will have a broad understanding of the electricity value chain, including generation, transmission, and supply, as well as regulatory and permitting requirements and industry trends.
- Australian Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with Australian experience and an established network within the power and transmission industry supply chain.
- Client and Consultant Experience: Experience working in both client and consultant environments will be an advantage.
- Key Client Partnering: You will have experience adopting a 'key client' partnering approach and supporting growth through such relationships.
- Business Development: You will have a proactive approach to business development, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and leading pursuits and tenders.
- Mentorship: You will have a passion for mentoring the team and future generations.
