Research Officer Role

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide high-quality research support to our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for cutting-edge research in mitochondrial biology, metabolism, and disease.

This role involves conducting laboratory-based experiments, data collection, and analysis. You will also be responsible for planning, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with research protocols.

You will assist in documentation, literature reviews, and report preparation, while maintaining a safe and compliant research environment.

You will collaborate effectively with colleagues, research partners, and graduate students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and support laboratory experiments and data analysis.
  • Stay updated with the latest research developments and techniques.
  • Assist in preparing reports, documentation, and literature reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols and safety standards.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to support research goals.

About You:

We are looking for a motivated individual with a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Honours preferred). You should have expertise in cell culture, molecular biology, and/or protein chemistry.

Strong analytical and technical skills, with attention to detail are essential. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, as well as the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

A high-level computer literacy and adaptability to new software is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.
