Job Title: Engineering and Assets Manager

A high-profile leadership role has become available for an experienced Chartered Civil Engineer to lead the delivery of infrastructure and asset management outcomes.

About the Role:
  • This key leadership position reports to the Director Infrastructure & Environmental Sustainability and is responsible for strategic asset management planning, overseeing the Capital Works program, and ensuring engineering excellence in project delivery.
  • The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Act as the asset owner for multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with relevant asset management policies, strategies, and plans.
  • Oversee complex civil infrastructure designs and provide authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and the community.
  • Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Engage in high-level consultation and liaison with residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.
Essential Criteria:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.
  • Extensive project management experience with proven cost and contractual oversight.
  • High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
