High-Performance Automotive Mechanic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Service and Repair Mechanic (Motor Equipment) to join our team in New York State. As a Service and Repair Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are safe and operational.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. You will work independently and as part of a team to diagnose and repair faulty vehicle and equipment operation, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and correct the causes of faulty vehicle and equipment operation.
- Overhaul, adjust, and repair gaseous fuel engines, clutches, transmissions, and differentials.
- Conduct NYS inspections and overhaul/rebuild starters, generators, compressors, pumps, spreaders, small engines, mowers, and other equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electronic engine control systems, anti-lock brake systems, and air conditioning.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Four years of experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic, or an Associate's degree in automotive or diesel repair technology.
- A valid NYS Inspection Certification issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles within one year from appointment.
- A valid New York State Class B Commercial Driver's License with no air brake restriction.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical/medical examination and drug test.
