Job Summary

The Technical Expert is a key position in the Operations Centre, supporting Remote Technical Operations under its Network Device Management pillar.

This team manages events, incidents, and changes across diverse technologies including optical, cellular, and satellite communication systems, and IT and embedded systems.

Our team is vital to the operations of the Victorian Emergency Alerting System, a statewide paging network supporting Victorian Emergency Services Organisation, ensuring public health and safety.

The Technical Expert will handle technical escalations, ensure shift continuity, develop solutions, improve processes, and deliver training to meet and exceed service KPIs and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Documentation: Develop, update, and review documentation and work instructions; deliver training; and improve documentation through Post Incident Reviews.
  • Processes: Create and enhance processes, implement new NOC functions, and drive improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Business Continuity: Maintain and update Business Continuity Management Plans, assist with BCMP tests, and adapt continuity plans to evolving business needs.
