Your Next Career Opportunity –The Senior/ Associate Principal Environmental Approvals Consultant will play a pivotal role in providing expertise, leadership, and strategic insight in the fields of water and environmental management. This position will focus on expanding the business through targeted development initiatives and strategic promotions. The successful candidate will act as a Project Manager and/or technical authority, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional environmental projects, particularly in the areas of environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in environmental investigations, assessments, planning, and approvals.
- Offer strategic and regulatory environmental guidance to clients across various sectors, particularly in coastal and maritime infrastructure.
- Enhance existing client relationships and cultivate new ones to advance the environmental business in the APAC region.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the national environmental team.
- Engage with current and prospective clients to generate work, deliver services, and drive business growth.
- Execute high-quality technical work with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgement.
- Serve as a technical expert in environmental approvals, assessments, and project management.
- Advise management and project teams on technical and business matters.
- Oversee and evaluate the work of external consultants and team members.
- Share expertise and mentor colleagues within the organization.
- Prepare, review, and submit proposals and tenders.
- Manage a variety of projects, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Contribute to thought leadership through authorship of papers, presentations at industry events, and participation in seminars and conferences.
- Conduct specific technical tasks, including environmental policy development, stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, environmental impact assessments, and planning and auditing.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of post-graduate experience.
- Proven experience with state and/or federal environmental approval processes.
- Openness to learning new environmental regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting environmental assessments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong technical foundation in environmental consulting.
- Proven business development capabilities.
- Experience in a multi-site organizational environment.
- Background in the engineering or resource sectors.
- Post-graduate qualifications in environmental management or a related discipline.
- Established network within environmental policy, assessment, and approvals.
