Family and Carer Workforce Member Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled individual with lived experience as a family and carer to join our Tribunal Advisory Group (TAG). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a designated lived experience carer role at a public mental health service, with expertise in supporting carers of consumers on compulsory treatment.

The Role Overview
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance consumer and carer engagement and participation.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Tribunal on matters related to consumer and carer involvement.
  • Promote opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing between stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Governance Group to develop and implement strategic plans that maximize consumer and carer engagement and participation.
  2. Advice and Guidance: Provide expert advice to the Tribunal on consumer and carer-related issues, ensuring informed decision-making.
  3. Project Coordination: Contribute to the development and delivery of projects, communications materials, and activities that promote consumer and carer participation.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including consumer and carer representatives, to ensure their voices are represented.
Selection Criteria

Members will be selected based on their ability to contribute to the purpose of the TAG. Membership selection will be made by the Chief Executive Officer in consultation with senior members of the Tribunal.
