Principal Environmental Compliance Specialist

We seek a seasoned environmental professional to ensure seamless environmental compliance and project continuity across our iron ore operations.
About the Role- Provide on-site guidance to site teams, fostering understanding and commitment to environmental regulations.
- Coordinate land access permitting processes, ensuring timely progression and close-out.
- Support auditing, inspection, monitoring, and reporting activities, upholding regulatory standards.
- Assist in environmental incident reporting, investigations, action tracking, and completion.
- Offer expert, timely advice to site personnel on environmental matters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, providing scientific input on environmental aspects of projects.
- Interpret legislation, government standards, and agreements, offering informed commentary, improvement opportunities, and risk management strategies.
- Oversee environmental monitoring and associated project scopes, ensuring data collection and integration.
- Supply necessary information for compliance with environmental approvals and related reporting requirements.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and participate in external audits as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
- Substantial experience in environmental management within the mining or resources sector.
- Significant hands-on site experience is essential.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven problem-solving and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency with GIS software.
