Job Title: Senior Environmental Advisor

We are seeking highly experienced professionals to ensure compliance and drive environmental excellence in our Iron Ore projects.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, committed to making a tangible impact, and possess exceptional problem-solving skills.

As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will play an integral role collaborating with construction and operational teams to promote environmental awareness and deliver consistent compliance activities.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing onsite engagement with site team to ensure understanding and commitment to environmental compliance.
  • Coordinating Land Access Permitting process to ensure timely progression including close-out.
  • Supporting auditing, inspection, monitoring, and reporting processes.
  • Assisting in Environmental incident reporting, investigations, action tracking and completion.
  • Providing professional, timely environmental advice to site personnel.
  • Supporting stakeholders and provision of scientific advice with respect to environmental aspects of the project.
  • Interpreting legislation, government standards and agreements and providing informed commentary, improvement opportunities and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinating and executing all environmental monitoring and associated project scopes.
  • Collecting and integrating all data, ensuring the provision of all necessary information to support compliance with associated environmental approvals and related reporting requirements.
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies and having an active involvement in external audits as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree within Environmental Science or a similar discipline.
  • Extensive environmental management experience, preferably within mining or resources industry.
  • Significant hands-on site experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams at all levels.
  • Problem solver and mentor. Fast thinker that is systematic, engaging, and thrives on change.
  • Sound experience with GIS software skills.
