Job Summary

This role requires a highly skilled professional to work on a 21-day on / 7-day off roster in remote locations across regional NSW. The successful candidate will be required to work 10–12 hour days and travel extensively throughout rural areas.

  • Travel and work away from home on a regular basis.
  • Work in rural areas across NSW, often without local accommodation.
About the Role

The ideal candidate will enjoy working away in site teams or be based in regional NSW and commute to project sites. They will assist in the installation of Optic Fibre cables for the Telstra network on the Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) project.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Rod, Rope & Hauling – hauling multiple cables by hand & machinery, quality checks.
  2. Civil activities – repair blockages, operate plant and equipment such as dozer, excavator, vacuum trucks, winches, mobile cranes and HR trucks.
  3. Laboring duties – cut and repair fences, undertake excavation using hand and mechanical methods.
Requirements
  1. Mandatory: Current Construction White card.
  2. Beneficial but not essential: Current HR Heavy Rigid truck license; Operator VOC Excavator; Current senior first aid certificate; Work safety at heights; High Risk License; Vehicle loading crane.
