This role involves providing strategic direction and management of environmental programs, facilitating business integration of sustainability approaches, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Sustainability Strategies: Develop comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with Melbourne Airport's goals and objectives.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.
  • Sustainability Reporting and Performance Monitoring: Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data to track performance against targets and benchmarks.
  • Energy and Resource Management: Oversee initiatives to reduce energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation throughout the airport.
  • Carbon Emissions Reduction: Lead efforts to mitigate carbon emissions from airport operations through the implementation of carbon reduction initiatives and cleaner technologies.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in leading sustainability and environmental programs within a complex organisation.
