Technical Team Lead Server Operations

This is a key leadership role within the Server Operations Team, requiring exceptional technical expertise and outstanding people skills.

Job Description:

We seek a highly skilled Technical Team Lead to administer and support the day-to-day running of the Server Operations Team. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to System Administrators and Engineers, contribute to critical decisions regarding Authentication and Identity platforms, and advise on feature enhancements and depreciation related to services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to a team of System Administrators and Engineers
  • Contribute to business-critical decisions regarding platform strategy and technology roadmap
  • Attend to escalated incident technical bridges across multi-vendor environments
  • Advise on solution architecture and implementation for feature enhancements and service improvements
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across key teams
  • Develop and deploy solutions as part of projects or initiatives according to organisation standards, and produce and maintain technical system documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams in a large-scale IT environment
  • Excellent collaboration skills to achieve results through others and ability to establish credibility with customers
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server and Active Directory, including associated technologies such as WINS, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Experience with Exchange, SharePoint, O365 suite, MECM/SCCM/SCOM, SCOO, ADFS, AAD, NetApp Compute and Storage infrastructure, CommVault backup services, Splunk, Carbon Black, McAfee Suite
  • Hold current Baseline clearance or ability to obtain one
