Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced education leader to join our team as a Leading Teacher Range 3. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of curriculum development, teaching and learning strategies, and leadership principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.
  • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort or whole-school level and use this data to inform teaching practice and improvement initiatives.
  • Support teachers to evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
  • Lead and manage staff performance and development, including the review of staff and the development of individual and team development plans.
  • Develop and manage the school's assessment and reporting policies and practices.
  • Lead the development of curriculum in a major learning area and participate in curriculum development in other areas.
  • Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school.

  • Expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, parents and the broader school community.
  • A strong understanding of teaching and learning strategies, including the ability to develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies.
  • A strong understanding of curriculum development, including the ability to lead and manage the development of curriculum in a major learning area.
