Job Title: Student Wellbeing and Resilience Officer

As a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Wellbeing and Resilience Officer, you will play a vital role in assisting the school community by providing pastoral care and general social and emotional comfort to all students, irrespective of their faith or beliefs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about student wellbeing and resilience to join our school community. You will be responsible for providing a safe place for vulnerable students, offering wellbeing support for all students, raising awareness of what makes students resilient, and developing strategies to reduce vulnerabilities and increase coping skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students to share their concerns and feelings.
  • Work closely with teachers and other school staff to deliver programs and initiatives that promote student wellbeing and resilience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce bullying and create a positive school culture.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to access resources and expertise that support student wellbeing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant qualification in social work, youth work, educational psychology, education, or a similar field.
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to promoting student wellbeing and resilience, and a willingness to continue developing your knowledge and skills in this area.
