Catchment Management Officer

This position involves leading the delivery of key catchment and waterway rehabilitation projects, ecological studies, and catchment investigations.

  • Project manage catchment and waterway rehabilitation projects, ecological studies, and catchment investigations to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop catchment action plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Support the development and delivery of the Waterways Barrier Removal and Remediation Program through collaborative efforts.
  • Provide technical expertise to support informed decision-making regarding catchment health.
  • Regularly report on changes, risks, incidents, and opportunities to support proactive catchment management.
  • Assist in undertaking waterway health monitoring to inform conservation efforts.
  • Review development applications, policy formation, and restorative action related to waterway and catchment management to ensure alignment with best practices.

We seek a qualified candidate who:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or has equivalent knowledge.
  • Possesses experience in catchment management and waterway-related projects, which is highly desirable.
