About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong experience within the service industry, equipment hire desirable but not essential
  • Strong people skills - driving team cohesion
  • A procedure-driven mindset - strong procedures in place, ensuring that these are running efficiently and can observe any improvements required
  • A bigger picture mentality, to service the wider business objectives
  • 8+ years experience in a General Management position with proven results
  • Mechanical knowledge beneficial
  • A proven ability to motivate and develop teams within operations, warehousing and both blue collar and white collar employees
  • A solid understanding of operations management, including inventory control, maintenance, and logistics
  • Financial acumen and the ability to analyse data to drive performance - including P&L
  • A customer-centric approach - Customers are the heart of the business and ensuring they are being serviced effectively and relationships nurtured is essential
  • A go-getter who takes action - ensuring appropriate steps are taken to achieve wider business objectives
  • A commitment to safety and quality - the safety of employees is essential and toolbox talks are hosted frequently run by you
  • A problem solver - KPI's are around equipment usage and breakdowns of any machines, and these issues should be resolved in a timely manner
