About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at JD Sports Australia. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading your department team to deliver exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and coaching your team to deliver a 'service over task' environment.
  2. Actively gain, maintain, and share product and brand knowledge for your department, ensuring a high level of product expertise.
  3. Support the management team to improve financial performance within your department, working closely with the back-of-house team to ensure product availability.
  4. Uphold company standards and deliver store visual excellence, maintaining a high level of store presentation and visual merchandising.
What We're Looking For
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience within retail or a similar industry.
  • A passion for delivering an amazing service experience for our customers.
  • A positive attitude, with the capacity to create a motivating environment for your team.
  • A proven track record in driving and exceeding set KPIs and communicating well with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure daily priorities are executed in a timely manner.
  • A desire to develop yourself, your career, and learn new skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in social situations through engagement with customers and team members.
