Job Description

As an Employment Consultant, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals.

You will manage a caseload of participants and provide tailored support that empowers them to succeed in the workforce using evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver services using the IPS Model.
  • Support participants through every step of their journey: vocational profiling, job search, resume and interview preparation, placement, post-placement support and ongoing support.
  • Monitor outcomes, keep accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Celebrate participant achievements and foster resilience, confidence, and long-term success.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification (Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or related field).
  • Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, their supports and employers.
  • Business development skills and local employer connections.
  • Current driver's licence and your own vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain all required clearances.
