About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at dnata catering. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in planning and directing food preparation in our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and safety are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food production.
  • Develop and implement menus and recipes to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labour costs, and inventory levels to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that our kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for our staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Trade qualified Chef with at least 2 years' experience in a high-volume food production environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of HACCP, QSAI, and Food Safety.
  • Prior experience working in a team environment with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Prior experience in a HALAL working environment and knowledge regarding segregation and separation of equipment.
  • Good financial understanding and cost-conscious.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
