Environmental Impact Manager

The company seeks a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Impact Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping its environmental strategy.

In this key position, you will lead initiatives that support the company's transition to a low-carbon future and embed sustainable practices across the business.

You will drive enhancements to the Greenhouse Gas Accounting database, leading climate risk and resilience assessments, and embedding carbon reduction into core business processes and performance metrics.

You will shape and deliver a bold, company-wide Sustainability Strategy, owning ESG disclosures and reporting frameworks. Additionally, you will champion circular economy principles, integrating sustainability into governance and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive enhancements to the Greenhouse Gas Accounting database to unlock decarbonisation insights and ensure credible reporting.
  • Lead climate risk and resilience assessments in partnership with internal teams and external experts.
  • Embed carbon reduction into core business processes and performance metrics, powering corporate decarbonisation.
  • Shape and deliver a bold, company-wide Sustainability Strategy, while owning ESG disclosures and reporting frameworks.
  • Champion circular economy principles, integrating sustainability into governance and investment decisions.
  • Own sustainability data analysis and reporting, covering regulatory submissions, performance tracking, and executive communications.

What You'll Bring to Succeed:

  • Environmental Leadership: Demonstrated experience in embedding sustainable practices into business operations and influencing strategic decision making.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Hands-on experience working within carbon emissions and sustainability reporting frameworks, with a clear understanding of governance and disclosure.
  • Risk & Trend Analysis: Skilled in identifying emerging sustainability risks and anticipating operational impacts.
  • Technology Foresight: Skilled in evaluating innovations that drive decarbonisation and climate resilience.
  • Relevant Tertiary Education: Degree qualified in Science, Environment, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Safety-First Mindset: Proven experience operating within safety-critical environments, and a strong grasp of how environmental risks intersect with workplace health and safety.
