Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Seeking a skilled maintenance supervisor to lead and promote a safety culture, manage resources, drive operational efficiencies, and provide leadership and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and promote a proactive safety culture and industry leadership.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet maintenance schedules and deliverables.
  • Drive operational efficiencies through process improvement and cost optimization.
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision through presence, guidance, and feedback.
  • Motivate team members towards shared goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular employee performance appraisals and develop improvement plans to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Resolve crew problems and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, including fault finding and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns and optimize productivity.
Requirements:
  • Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification or equivalent.
  • Current driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Proven experience in supervisory or management roles within the civil/mining industry.
  • Experience working with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment, as well as Kenworth and Mack Trucks and ancillary gear.
  • Understanding of civil/mining mobile plant and crushing operations, including knowledge of quarrying, excavation, and heavy haulage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance systems like MEX, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, and suppliers at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, willingness to work in remote locations, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Hands-on approach with a strong focus on quality and safety.
