Workshop Leadership Opportunity

As a seasoned workshop leader, you will mentor apprentices and ensure the maintenance of heavy and light vehicles, plant, and equipment complies with road safety standards.

The Role
  • Manage a team of tradespeople working on correct maintenance, servicing, and repair of council fleet, plant, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Guide, supervise, and mentor apprentice activities in the workshop.
  • Exercise responsibility for work groups, maintaining quality of work and compliance with regulations, codes, and specifications.
  • Ensure all vehicles are scheduled in line with the site operation and that technicians produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out.
Requirements
  • Qualified diesel mechanic trades or diesel fitter qualification.
  • Previous supervision and scheduling skills/experience.
  • Excellent ability to impart acquired knowledge to both technicians and apprentices.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
  • WH&S Competency Card (or ability to obtain).
