Financial Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.

  • Manage month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, analysing financial data to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to manage audits.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and tax obligations, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
About This Role

This is a temporary role with the potential for extension, offering a market hourly rate based on experience. You will work in a collaborative and professional environment in Sydney, gaining experience in a supportive and challenging accounting and finance team.

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CA (or working towards it).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
