Job Title:

Construction Superintendent

A construction superintendent is a key member of the construction management team responsible for overseeing the building process of new homes.

  • Oversee the entire construction process to ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role involves managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, as well as communicating with trade partners, suppliers, building officials, homeowners, and other team members.

Responsibilities:
  1. Schedule and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  2. Monitor and control construction costs, ensuring that expenses are aligned with budgetary constraints.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with trade partners, suppliers, and contractors, fostering a collaborative environment.
  4. Conduct daily site visits to inspect quality, monitor schedules, and provide necessary guidance to ensure homes are completed on time and in accordance with our quality standards.
  5. Perform various administrative tasks, including reporting, documentation, and data entry.
Requirements:
  1. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and prioritize tasks.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, subcontractors, and team members.
  3. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  6. Minimum 3 years of experience overseeing the building of new homes.
