Quantitative Engineer

We are seeking a talented Quantitative Engineer to join our Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) division at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for embedding quantitative analytics within our highly critical platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement quantitative models and algorithms to drive business outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver data-driven solutions
- Work with our Python-based financial platform to automate business processes and provide insights to customers and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of a robust and automated business on top of our industry-leading financial tech stack
- Strong numerical skills and quantitative methods
- Sound understanding of financial markets and/or corporate & institutional lending products
- Proven experience with best-practice software engineering and a high level of software engineering knowledge and ability
- Expertise as a Quantitative Developer in delivering insights and analysis to improve financial and operational risk posture
- Commercial focus to allow our business to maximise profitable growth and customer satisfaction outcomes
- Innate ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders from sales to technical leadership groups
We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done, with at least half your time each month connecting in our Sydney office. We also have many other flexible working options available, including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements, and job share.
