Quantitative Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Engineer to join our Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) division at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quantitative models and algorithms to drive business growth and improve risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement quantitative models and algorithms to automate business processes and improve decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantitative insights into business strategies
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions to support quantitative analysis and modeling
- Contribute to the development of a centre of excellence for quantitative analytics and technology
- Strong background in numerical skills and quantitative methods
- Experience with software engineering and best-practice development methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering insights and analysis to improve financial and operational risk posture
- Commercial focus and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
