Project Accountant Role

To contribute to the ongoing success of our Architecture Studio, we are seeking a Project Accountant to work closely with our Project Managers. In this position you will take ownership of financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of high-impact architectural projects.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing project financials by adhering to our project methodology and systems
  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers to track revenue, costs, and project risks
  • Leading monthly revenue recognition and billing processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and escalating payment issues as required
  • Actively participating in project meetings including monthly reviews and close-outs
  • Supporting budgeting and audit activities with detailed financial analysis and reporting
  • Handling timesheet administration and expense reviews
  • Providing insightful financial data and reporting to leadership to support business decisions
  • Upholding our values and commitment to workplace safety


Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related field
  • Previous experience in project accounting
  • Previous experience working in the Architecture or Construction industry - highly advantageous
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive, motivated and dedicated
  • Ability to work under pressure with a solutions-focused attitude
