Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Development Test Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex mechanical systems, as well as performing regular maintenance and repairs.

You will work closely with engineers to develop and document activities, and ensure all components and materials meet applicable standards. Your strong technical skills and attention to detail will enable you to identify and resolve issues efficiently, while your ability to collaborate effectively with others will facilitate smooth communication and problem-solving.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work on flight and development engines, support test operations, and participate in rigging and crane operations. Your expertise in power tools, hand tools, and calibrated tooling will be essential in achieving these objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain complex mechanical systems
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and document activities
  • Ensure all components and materials meet applicable standards
  • Work on flight and development engines
  • Support test operations
  • Participate in rigging and crane operations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, and at least 3 years of experience working with and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems, high-pressure fluid/pneumatic systems, or heavy equipment.

You should also be proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and calibrated tooling, and have a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) license
  • Experience in airframe structural repair
  • Experience in aviation electronics and avionics
  • Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) certification or training
  • Experience with the testing process and optimization of test processes
  • Experience with hydraulic plumbing repair/fabrication
  • Experience in ground support equipment in the aerospace industry

Additional Requirements

This role requires valid driver's license, physical dexterity, and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25lbs unassisted).

You must also be able to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet) with proper PPE, and be available to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed based on site operational needs.
