Job Description

The Servery Staff role plays a vital part in enhancing the well-being of our residents by providing nourishing meals that contribute to their health and quality of life.

As a key member of our kitchen and servery team, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving meals to residents while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

You will work collaboratively with our team to provide holistic support to residents and foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in meal preparation, presentation, and service to residents.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces.
  • Set up tables and ensure all utensils and crockery are clean for meal service.
  • Deliver food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms.
  • Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are met for each resident.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to provide comprehensive support to residents.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or aged care (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
  • Alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos and values.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn).
