Job Title: Forklift Operations Team Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced forklift operations team leader to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, achieving operational goals, and ensuring the smooth execution of daily loading and unloading activities at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts to load/unload transport trucks, directing your team to achieve operational goals and set clear performance expectations.
  • Plan and organise transport loads with the support of the wider transport team, monitoring load safety and efficiency to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Complete and check relevant documentation and records, estimating load limits for safe storage and transport of goods.
  • Lead by example in upholding safety standards, Chain of Responsibility (COR) compliance, and hazard management, contributing to toolbox talks, continuous improvement, and team development.
Requirements:
  • A strong safety-first mindset with knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR), current forklift licence, and proven operational experience.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse/transport environment, with the ability to communicate clearly, set expectations, and support team development.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, commitment to continuous improvement, and a collaborative team culture.
