Role Overview

The successful candidate will serve as the focal point for offshore Brownfields projects, ensuring timely delivery of project objectives while maintaining effective management of resources. Their responsibilities will encompass planning, checking design drafting, and conforming to industry standards.

They will evaluate and execute piping design engineering deliverables, providing expertise, foresight, and mature design judgment in anticipating and solving problems efficiently and economically.

Effective collaboration with other disciplines, engineers, and clients' representatives is essential, as well as providing clear written communication in site surveys and technical reports.

The ideal candidate will possess 12+ years of piping design experience in Petrochem/O&G industry, preferably brownfield, and a minimum of 8 years in a senior designer role. They will manage piping design activities independently as the project focal point.

Key qualifications include familiarity with ExxonMobil Australia Design Standards and General Specifications, knowledge of codes and standards, and understanding of offshore engineering practices applicable to topsides piping design.

Strong stakeholder management and a proven track record in performing full-range piping discipline design and analysis are essential. A solid understanding of fabrication, construction, and installation activities is also required.

Required Skills:

  • 12+ years' of Piping Design experience in Petrochem/O&G industry, preferably brownfield
  • Min 8 years in a Senior designer role in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Familiarity with prime drivers related to offshore topsides layout design
  • Experience in Layout developments and equipment location plan developments
  • Familiarity with ExxonMobil Australia Design Standards and General Specifications
  • Managing independently piping design activities as the project focal point
  • Sound knowledge of codes and standards and good understanding of offshore engineering practices applicable to topsides piping design for oil and gas facilities
  • Experienced user of the 3D PDMS/E3D modelling and sound knowledge of 2D drafting systems applicable to piping layout and design
