Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gardener to join our team at Comet Bay Primary School.

The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Senior Gardener to maintain the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition.

This includes maintaining tools and horticultural equipment, propagating seasonal stock, and cultivating growing beds.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition.
  • Propagate seasonal stock and cultivate growing beds.
  • Perform minor repairs and other gardener duties as required.

Key Requirements:

  • A valid Working With Children Check.
  • Ability to obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in a school environment with regular exposure to outdoors and variable weather conditions.
  • The role requires manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
