  • We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to contribute to our dynamic team.Both Full Time and Part Time positions are available.About Firstchance Firstchance is a premier Early Childhood Intervention Service dedicated to assisting families with children who have disabilities in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens areas. Our team consists of over 70 committed professionals who excel in their fields.
Role Overview
  • Opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Specialist Educators, and Family Workers.
  • Become part of our experienced Physiotherapy team.
  • Receive support from a knowledgeable administration and finance team.
  • Work primarily from Mayfield while providing support to families in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens regions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Physiotherapy services to children aged 0-12 years and their families.
  • Provide community-based support in various settings, including homes, early childhood education centers, schools, pools, and parks.
  • Assist children with diverse disabilities, such as autism, developmental delays, chromosomal disorders, and genetic conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and offer a full range of physiotherapy services.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Current Working with Children's Check.
  • NDIS Worker Check.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • AHPRA registration.
  • First Aid Certificate, including training in anaphylaxis and asthma.
  • Experience in pediatric care is preferred, but we are willing to provide training and support for physiotherapists transitioning from other specialties.
