  • About Firstchance: Firstchance is a premier Early Childhood Intervention Service dedicated to supporting families with children who have disabilities in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens areas. Our team consists of over 70 committed professionals who excel in their fields.
  • Role Responsibilities:
    • Engage in a full-time or part-time capacity.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Specialist Educators, and Family Workers.
    • Be part of an experienced cohort of Physiotherapists.
    • Receive support from a knowledgeable administration and finance team.
    • Work primarily from Mayfield while providing assistance to families across the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens regions.
  • Key Duties:
    • Deliver Physiotherapy services to children aged 0-12 years and their families.
    • Provide community-based support in various settings such as homes, early childhood education facilities, schools, and parks.
    • Assist children with diverse disabilities, including autism, developmental delays, chromosomal disorders, and genetic conditions.
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments and offer a full range of physiotherapy interventions.
  • Qualifications:
    • A Degree in Physiotherapy.
    • Working with Children's Check.
    • NDIS Worker Check.
    • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
    • AHPRA registration.
    • First Aid Certificate, including training in anaphylaxis and asthma.
    • Experience in pediatric care is preferred, but we are willing to provide training for those transitioning from other specialties.
