Job Overview

The Interventional Suite has 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a cardiothoracic theatre. As a Clinical Nurse Educator in this setting, you will play a key role in supporting staff in providing high-quality patient care and education.

This position requires an experienced nurse who possesses strong clinical skills, leadership abilities and a passion for education. If you have a desire to work in a dynamic environment and make a difference in the lives of patients, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff
  • Mentor and coach nurses to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient working environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in relative field of speciality or working towards
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in perioperative services
  • Extensive clinical skills and experience working in a perioperative suite
  • Possession of a passion for quality/performance/process improvement initiative
  • Clinical coach, mentor, supervise and provide preceptorship
  • Hands on teaching approach
  • High level of planning and organising skills
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • High degree of computer literacy
