We are excited to recruit for a skilled Lead Deal Analyst to join our Transaction Diligence team in Melbourne. Our team is recognized as the no. 1 advisor on value and volume of deals in Oceania, as certified by Mergermarket.

What's in it for you?

As part of our Transaction Diligence team, you will work with numerous organizations on complex global deals. Your role will involve identifying key drivers, challenging assumptions, searching for hidden value, and collaborating with other teams to deliver an integrated approach to clients before, during, and after transactions.

You will also:

  • Manage due diligence engagements related to business acquisitions or disposals
  • Analyze financial/operational results through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management
  • Project manage teams, information flows, and key stakeholders
  • Identify and analyze key value drivers to deliver financial and commercial insights affecting deal value and structuring
  • Based on your analysis write up your findings and recommendations
  • Share your technical knowledge with your team
  • Play a role in business growth initiatives by building client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of their business

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Experience in a Transaction Services role within an Advisory environment, working independently and with senior stakeholders on multiple engagements
  • A degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or international equivalent
  • A strong work ethic and ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas in a collaborative team environment
  • Highly analytical individuals who enjoy solving deal value questions within short timelines
