About The Role

This key position plays a vital role in delivering relationship-based care, focusing on the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of clients, their families, and staff. Reporting to the Pastoral Care Manager, you will utilise your expertise to coach and support staff, promoting a culture of compassion and empathy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral care and support to clients, their families, and staff, addressing their emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with the Pastoral Care Manager to develop and implement care plans, ensuring a holistic approach to client wellbeing.
  • Coach and mentor staff to enhance their ability to provide empathetic and compassionate care.
  • Contribute to a culture of inclusivity and respect, promoting diversity and equality within the organisation.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of dementia, its impact on carers, and the grieving process.
  • Personal and active Christian faith, with a commitment to church involvement.
  • Theological or pastoral care qualifications and experience.
  • Proven ability to care for and enhance the wellbeing of individuals in need.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, empathise, and provide guidance.
  • Experience in leading and supporting teams, with a focus on staff development and growth.
